Includes license key to enable library managed encryption for one (1) drive for use with third-party key management products. The Compatibility Guide on Quantum.com should be checked for specific drive manufacturer, LTO generation, and encryption key manager support. At the time of this publication SafeNet (KMIP) and Thales (KMIP) are supported with HP LTO-4 or later drives and IBM LTO-5 or later drives. TKLM (non-KMIP) is supported with IBM LTO-4 or later drives. Not for use with Scalar Key Manager or Q-EKM. This license is not needed if the backup application manages the encryption keys. Warranty/service level of key-enabled drives must match the service length and level of the library. Third-party key-enabled drives must be in a separate partition from other key-enabled or non key-enabled drives. Only one encryption key manager can be used in a library. This is a library-based license, not a drive license and cannot be transferred to another library.
